Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and control all accounting functions across multiple legal entities within the Group.

· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, consolidation, and monthly closing.

· Oversee the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other management reports.

· Maintain compliance with UAE VAT laws, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.

· Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for statutory filings and audits.

· Monitor cash flow, working capital, and bank reconciliations to ensure effective financial control.

· Develop, implement, and monitor internal control systems and accounting policies.

· Support project costing, revenue recognition, and WIP accounting for contracting operations.

· Oversee fixed asset management, inventory accounting, and intercompany transactions.

· Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

· Collaborate with senior management in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).

· Minimum of 20 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 10 years in a senior role.

· Proven experience managing multiple legal entities within a group structure.

· Strong background in contracting business (water, power, sewerage) is mandatory.

· Experience in trading, workshop services, system integration, and F&B sectors is a strong advantage.

· Excellent knowledge of IFRS, ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, Infor, or Microsoft Dynamics), and Excel.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

· Excellent command of English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to AED25,000.00 per month
