Job Overview

Emirates Talent Solution is hiring a highly experienced Chief Accountant for a leading property development and real estate company based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in the real estate or property development sector.

The role involves leading all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local taxation laws, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. The Chief Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct financial analysis and performance reporting to support management decisions.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with local tax laws and statutory regulations.
• Manage corporate and sales tax filings, audits, and documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants during reviews and assessments.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash flow and banking operations to maintain adequate liquidity.
• Manage loan servicing, reconciliations, and treasury transactions.
• Develop and update cash flow forecasts and liquidity reports for management.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Support annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial projections.
• Track budget variances and recommend cost optimization measures.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with approved budgets and internal control policies.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring transparency and compliance.
• Strengthen internal control systems and accounting procedures.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.
• Provide training on accounting standards, ERP systems, and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations.

Key RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Certifications

• CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA (qualified or part-qualified preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
• At least 5 years in a senior accounting or finance role within property development or real estate (required).

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.

Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and team management skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
