Position Title: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Location: Mumbai / Hyderabad
Department: Finance
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Direct Reports: 6 (Finance, Legal & Admin)
Indirect Reports: 4
Geographical Scope: PAN India (extensive travel across all units)

Role Overview

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial and administrative aspects of the organization’s operations across India. The role requires robust financial systems, statutory compliance, donor/grant fund management, risk mitigation, and fiscal discipline. The CFO will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, COO, and the Board, ensuring sustainable financial growth and safeguarding resources across all operational units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Planning
  • Prepare five-year rolling plans, annual budgets, monthly/quarterly reports, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop multi-year financial and sustainability projections.
  • Provide financial reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Accounting & Compliance
  • Oversee statutory audits for all operational units.
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, FCRA, and other statutory requirements.
  • Establish and strengthen financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
  • Financial Systems & Controls
  • Monitor accounting, reporting, payroll, and fee collection systems.
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency across all units.
  • Finance Management & Investments
  • Develop fund management strategies.
  • Oversee deployment and investments of funds for efficiency and sustainability.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Track and report financial operations.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, MIS, and analytical reviews.
  • Support fundraising proposals with financial data.
  • Risk Management & Legal Oversight
  • Identify and mitigate risks as Risk Manager.
  • Ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Review and manage contracts, agreements, and external communications.
  • Capital Projects
  • Oversee construction, infrastructure, and expansion projects.
  • Monitor tendering, contracting, and budget utilization.
  • Governance & Board Support
  • Act as Secretary to the Board of Directors.
  • Support governance committees with financial insights and reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per month
