Chief Financial Officer

Ascendo Resources as been engaged in an exclusive search for a Chief Financial Officer .

Our client is looking for a CFO that drives financial strategy, cost accounting, and operational efficiency to maximize profitability. Key duties include overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, inventory valuation, and supply chain risk, while ensuring regulatory compliance. They act as a strategic partner to the CEO, focusing on ROI, capital structure, and technology investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Operations: Develop financial models, manage capital structure, and lead budgeting/forecasting to support growth and operational goals.
• Manufacturing Cost Control: Optimize manufacturing costs, manage inventory valuation, and analyze production efficiency to improve margins.
• Risk & Compliance: Manage financial risks, ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and oversee tax obligations and internal controls.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate, timely financial reports for the board and executive team.
• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and oversee the finance and accounting teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior role specifically within the manufacturing sector.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cost accounting, supply chain management, and ERP systems.
• Competencies: Strategic planning, leadership, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
