Description:
We are looking for a seasoned CFO with proven experience in the Real Estate development sector. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in finance, compliance, banking, and working capital structuring for real estate projects, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Planning
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Develop financial models, project feasibility reports, and ROI/IRR assessments.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and growth plans.
2. Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements under Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, RERA, FEMA, and local municipal regulations.
- Oversee timely filing of all returns, audits, and statutory certifications.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
3. Banking & Working Capital
- Manage and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Secure and manage working capital lines, project loans, term loans, and debt restructuring.
- Prepare CMA data, stock statements, fund flow plans, and periodic MIS reporting for lenders.
4. Internal Controls & Reporting
- Implement strong internal controls, policies, and financial governance frameworks.
- Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual closings and financial reporting to management and board.
- Monitor project costs, contractor/vendor payments, and revenue recognition schedules.
5. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with project heads, procurement, and sales teams to align financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
Skills
- Must have relevant hands-on experience in Real Estate Development, Construction, or Infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of project finance, cash flow cycles, and structured funding.
- In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements including RERA, GST, TDS, Income Tax & financial audits.
- Proven ability in handling working capital limits and negotiations with banks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, founder-driven organization environment.
