Compensation: Competitive base salary, bonus, and equity incentives; relocation support available

We’ve built a powerful DTC engine, operate our own manufacturing, and are expanding into nationwide omnichannel retail in 2026.

Role Overview

The Chief Marketing Officer will lead the full marketing ecosystem while shaping the strategic direction of the brand. This role oversees brand, creative, performance marketing, retail marketing, influencer, Amazon, PR/comms, shopper marketing, product storytelling, and omnichannel demand creation. The CMO will also establish marketing policies, ensure alignment with company objectives, and guide the organization’s go-to-market philosophy as Stars + Honey continues rapid scale.

Key Responsibilities

Brand, Strategy & Market Leadership

  • Develop, refine, and expand Stars + Honey’s brand architecture and cultural relevance.
  • Plan, establish, and evolve marketing policies, objectives, and operating procedures in alignment with company goals.
  • Evaluate market conditions, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Estimate market value, forecast trends, and recommend strategic shifts in philosophy or positioning.
  • Lead omnichannel brand system development across DTC, retail, and emerging channels.

Performance, Growth & Channel Expansion

  • Manage the Head of Ecommerce to drive growth through Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Amazon, and retention systems.
  • Oversee CTV, streaming, and related media initiatives.
  • Build integrated omnichannel launch plans for major retail partners, including National Retail
  • Determine optimal timing, placement, and go-to-market approach for product launches.

Creative, Content & Communications

  • Oversee premium creative production across photo, video, brand content, and campaign development.
  • Direct the creation and release of advertising materials; guide media selection and distribution strategy.
  • Lead PR, communications, and brand reputation efforts across all markets.
  • Develop product narrative and ensure cohesive messaging across channels.

Influencer, Partnerships & Customer Engagement

  • Lead the influencer ecosystem, including celebrity partnerships, macro-level collaborations, and micro-creator seeding.
  • Engage with retailers, customers, and strategic partners to identify opportunities for expanded marketing impact and brand presence.

Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Oversee advertising programs, promotional strategy, and field marketing activities.
  • Direct development of marketing reports, performance dashboards, and data-driven insights.
  • Set pricing, promotional strategy, and display methodology in alignment with brand value and market conditions.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing organization designed for rapid growth.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of senior marketing leadership experience at high-growth CPG or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven success taking a brand from DTC to national retail scale.
  • Expertise in both brand-building and performance marketing.
  • Strong experience with influencer ecosystems and celebrity partnerships.
  • High creative taste level, strong analytical rigor, and exceptional execution speed.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable, revenue-driving plans.

12-Month Success Criteria

  • Launch and scale a cohesive omnichannel brand system across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Improve full-funnel efficiency and elevate creative performance and output.
  • Execute a nationally successful National Retail launch with strong velocity.
  • Increase brand awareness and drive measurable demand across all channels.
  • Build a modern marketing organization capable of supporting significant scale.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
