Child Care Assistant

We are a warm, family oriented In Home Family Child Care, located in Lakewood, Ca, seeking a dependable and caring Child Care Assistant to support daily activities and help create a safe, engaging environment for young children.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children, enjoys hands on activities, and values building meaningful connections with families.

The hours are flexible but must be available between 11:30am - 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (preferred, not required)
• Patient, reliable, and attentive
• Enjoys engaging with children through play and learning
• Able to follow direction and work as part of a team
• Must pass background check
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

*ECE Units a plus but not a must

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising children in a safe and nurturing environment
• Support daily routines (meals, nap time, transitions)
• Engage children in age appropriate activities (arts & crafts, play, learning activities)
• Help maintain a clean and organized space
• Encourage positive behavior and social development
• Communicate respectfully with children and families

Salary: $17.00/hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
