Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and execute earthworks activities in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality and design requirements.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for management.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges on-site.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
• Prepare method statements, work schedules, and resource plans.
• Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Verify quantity take-offs for earthworks and ensure accuracy in billing and documentation.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide engineering input to resolve conflicts or design changes.
• Support quality assurance by maintaining proper documentation and records.
• Monitor cost control measures to avoid budget overruns.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and site supervisors when required.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in civil engineering with a focus on earthworks.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and MS Office.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
