CIVIL ENGINEER

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer / Quantity Surveyor to manage construction projects, oversee site operations, and control project costs. The candidate will be responsible for site supervision, quantity estimation, cost management, and coordination with contractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Civil Engineering Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and supervise construction projects such as buildings, roads, and infrastructure.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain quality control.
  • Monitor project schedules and report progress to management.
  • Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
  • Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and quantity take-offs from drawings.
  • Estimate project costs, materials, and labor requirements.
  • Prepare project budgets and cost plans.
  • Verify contractor bills and subcontractor invoices.
  • Prepare interim payment certificates and project valuations.
  • Monitor project expenses and control costs.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents and contract administration.
  • Track variations, claims, and additional work orders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-8 years of experience in construction, site supervision, or quantity surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity take-off tools.
  • Good knowledge of BOQ preparation and cost control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage site work and documentation efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO350.000 - RO600.000 per month
