nullBrainer is seeking a highly analytical, multi-talented Civil Engineer to bridge the gap between physical engineering projects and modern data intelligence. In this hybrid role, you will work directly with major U.S. clients, applying hands-on coding, advanced data visualization, and deep construction estimation knowledge to support industry-leading software solutions and workflows.
We are looking for a professional who combines a foundation in civil engineering with the programming and database skills required to transform complex project metrics into stunning interactive insights and automated processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Logic Translation & Coding: Apply intermediate-level logical problem-solving and hands-on coding in C++ and Python to translate construction requirements into proprietary software alerts and automated compliance checks.
- Data Automation: Develop, manage, and automate Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel workflows using advanced formulas, functions, and data organization techniques.
- BI & Dashboard Architecture: Build and maintain high-performance dashboards using Google Looker Studio or Microsoft Power BI to track construction progress, material estimations, and project costs.
- U.S. Estimation & Analysis: Drive construction estimation processes leveraging deep knowledge of U.S. standards, specifically CSI MasterFormat Divisions 03–49.
- Spatial Data Extraction: Review and interpret AutoCAD drawings, Revit models, floor plans, and 3D construction models to extract metrics for analysis and quantity takeoffs.
- Project Management & Tech Adoption: Support project workflows by coordinating with stakeholders, continuously improving processes through automation, and rapidly adapting to AI-powered construction tools.
- Client Relations: Collaborate directly with U.S.-based stakeholders to define KPIs, gather business requirements, and confidently present technical data insights.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. Candidates with an O/A Levels educational background are highly preferred.
- Programming & Software Skills: Hands-on knowledge of Python and C++, combined with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Design & BI Tools: Practical experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Google Looker Studio, and Microsoft Power BI. Advanced SQL proficiency is a strong plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction drawings, quantity estimation, and project workflows, with a significant advantage given to those familiar with the U.S. construction industry (CSI MasterFormat).
- Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English is mandatory for leading international stakeholder discussions. An IELTS score of 7.5 or above (or equivalent proficiency) is required.
- Adaptability: A strong analytical aptitude with a demonstrated willingness to learn new software, proprietary logic mapping, and emerging technologies.
