Civil Engineer (Finishing Works)

A Civil Engineer (Finishing) is responsible for overseeing and managing all finishing activities in construction projects, ensuring high-quality output, adherence to design specifications, and timely completion. This role focuses on works such as plastering, flooring, painting, ceiling, tiling, joinery, and final detailing, ensuring aesthetic and functional standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute all finishing works including plastering, screeding, tiling, painting, false ceilings, and façade finishing
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and subcontractors for smooth execution
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and workmanship quality
• Prepare and review material submittals and method statements
• Ensure proper usage of materials to minimize waste and control costs
• Identify and resolve site issues related to finishing works
• Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of finishing activities
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Coordinate snagging and de-snagging activities before project handover
• Monitor and ensure quality control procedures are followed

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of finishing materials and techniques (tiles, paints, coatings, gypsum, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and BOQs
• Good understanding of quality control standards and inspection procedures
• Project coordination and team management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Communication skills for coordination with multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel)

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience Requirements

• Typically 3–5 years of experience in construction projects
• Proven experience specifically in finishing works of residential, commercial, or high-rise projects

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of local building codes and standards
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Experience with subcontractor management
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience in large-scale or luxury projects
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
• Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, BS, etc.)

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
