Job Description

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable road and highway projects. The role involves challenging projects, working alongside experienced professionals, and accessing continuous learning and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out discipline designs to required standards and quality.
• Ensure that all designs are reviewed to the required standards.
• Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process.
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
• Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
• Contribute to the delivery of the BU strategy, including supporting the company's approach to sustainability.
• Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects.
• Input into the work of the Technical Working Group (TWG).
• Feedback on all business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• UAE National (with a valid Family Book).
• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in road and highway design projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and geotechnical analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, road design standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Willingness to work on site and travel to project locations as required.
