Overview

The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site construction activities related to landscape development projects. This role ensures that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines. The Civil Foreman works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site crews to deliver high-quality outdoor environments while maintaining strong oversight of workmanship, materials, and site operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, manage, and supervise on-site construction teams for landscape projects.
  • Ensure all site activities are carried out safely and in compliance with HSE standards.
  • Interpret and execute construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules, labor distribution, equipment usage, and material needs.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Resolve on-site issues and support problem-solving to maintain workflow and productivity.
  • Monitor progress, report daily site activities, and ensure work is delivered on time.
  • Maintain control of tools, equipment, and materials to minimize waste and inefficiencies.
  • Support implementation of quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Proven experience as a Civil Foreman in landscape or civil construction projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Leadership: Ability to manage crews, assign tasks, and maintain productivity.
  • Plan Interpretation: Skilled in reading and understanding site plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Communication: Strong communication and coordination skills with site teams and management.
  • Safety Awareness: Solid knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with HSE standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to make effective on-site decisions and manage daily challenges.
  • Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred).
