Civil Foreman

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Civil Foreman acts as the primary on-site supervisor, managing daily construction activities, crews, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key duties include interpreting technical drawings, enforcing safety regulations, conducting inspections, managing resources, and reporting progress to management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Overseeing, leading, and assigning daily tasks to construction crews (laborer's, operators).
• Technical Compliance: Reading, interpreting, and following project blueprints, drawings, structural specs, and method statements.
• Safety Enforcement: Conducting toolbox talks, managing permits, and ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Resource Management: Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available and used efficiently to minimize waste.
• Quality Control: Inspecting work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications, and fixing issues.
• Progress Reporting: Documenting and reporting daily accomplishments, labor hours, and potential delays to site management.
• Coordination: Acting as the liaison between site engineers, subcontractors, and laborers.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in civil works such as structural concrete, earthworks, and drainage.
• Skills: Strong leadership, hands-on approach, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Requirements: Technical knowledge of construction procedures and safety protocols.

Common Daily Tasks:

• Leading morning briefings (toolbox talks).
• Allocating equipment and materials for the day's work.
• Inspecting ongoing structural or earthwork operations.
• Completing daily progress reports.
