The Project Coordinator for Civil/Architectural projects will be responsible for providing administrative and project support to ensure that all phases of construction and architectural projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The individual will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of civil and architectural projects.
- Coordinate project timelines, schedules, and task allocation among team members.
- Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Documentation Management:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, drawings, permits, and reports.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is filed correctly and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and other project-related documents.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the point of contact between internal team members, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Organize and attend project meetings, and follow up on action items.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between all project stakeholders.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Help track project costs and ensure adherence to the budget.
- Assist in managing change orders and procurement processes.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and any other financial documentation.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and building codes.
- Assist in quality assurance and inspections, ensuring the project meets design specifications.
- Monitor progress to ensure that milestones are achieved and project goals are met.
- Site Coordination and Logistics:
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the job site.
- Track and manage subcontractor activities.
- Ensure that the site is organized and that all resources are efficiently utilized.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues that could impact the project’s success.
- Work with the project manager to develop mitigation strategies.
- Document issues and assist in resolving disputes between parties.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in civil, construction, or architectural projects.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
