Position Objectives:
The Civil Design Engineer is responsible for the structural design, analysis, and technical oversight of telecom network infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering accurate, compliant, and cost-effective civil designs for GSM network rollout programs - covering Lattice Towers, Guy Masts, foundations, and strengthening works - from concept through to construction handover.
Job Description & Responsibilities

Develop structural designs and perform load analysis for Lattice Towers, Guy Masts, and tower foundations using STAAD.Pro

Conduct structural condition assessments on existing towers and design appropriate strengthening solutions

Review co-location requests and provide structural recommendations for shared tower usage

Collaborate with RF and GSM network planning teams to translate network requirements into civil/structural solutions

Prepare construction drawings, design reports, BOQs, and technical specifications

Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes (TIA-222, BS 8100, Eurocode 3, or equivalent)

Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure correct implementation on site

Support site acquisition and permitting by providing structural feasibility assessments

Respond to RFIs and resolve design issues during the construction phase

Compile as-built documentation and final design packages at project closeout
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's is an advantage

Minimum 5–10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in telecom infrastructure

Hands-on experience with Lattice Tower and Guy Mast design and strengthening

Proficiency in STAAD.Pro - essential

Strong knowledge of GSM network infrastructure requirements

Familiarity with TIA-222, BS 8100, or Eurocode 3

Proficiency in AutoCAD for structural drawings

PE / CEng / MIStructE certification preferred
