Civil Technical Office Engineer (Roads & Infrastructure)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Office Engineer (Roads & Infrastructure) with 3–5 years of proven experience in the UAE to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating technical documents, shop drawings, and project submittals, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, local authority requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and method statements for roads and infrastructure projects.
  • Perform quantity take-off, cost estimation, and material submittals in coordination with the project team.
  • Provide technical support to the site team, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE authorities’ regulations (Sharjah Municipality, SEWA, RTA, etc.).
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor project progress and report technical issues, discrepancies, and variations.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and suppliers to obtain necessary approvals.
  • Support the project manager in preparing project schedules, progress reports, and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Sharjah Municipality and UAE infrastructure regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
