Civil Technician

The Civil Technician is responsible to execute a wide range of civil maintenance and repair works including masonry, tiling, plastering, minor concrete works, and general finishing across the estate. The Civil Technician ensures all villas, service areas, infrastructure, and decorative civil features are kept in excellent condition, maintaining structural integrity, aesthetic quality, and safety in accordance with the high standards of a private estate.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Trade Certificate in Civil Works, Building Maintenance, or Construction Technology (preferred).
• Vocational training or hands-on certification in masonry, tiling, or plastering (advantageous).
• Basic Health & Safety or Work-at-Height certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of UAE materials, climate durability, and construction standards.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil maintenance or construction within luxury villas, residential compounds, hospitality, or private estates in the UAE or GCC.
• Proven experience in routine repairs, finishing works, and small-scale renovations in live or occupied environments.
• Familiarity with working under supervision and coordination with other engineering disciplines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Civil Maintenance

• Skilled in blockwork, plastering, painting prep, minor concrete repairs, and tiling (ceramic, marble, stone).
• Ability to perform surface crack repairs, paving fixes, and structural patching.
• Experience in maintaining external features such as walkways, curbs, walls, and fences.

Finishing & Repair Works

• Capable of high-quality plaster repairs, wall leveling, tile grouting, and re-tiling.
• Able to match existing finishes and textures for invisible restorations.
• Performing minor carpentry and paint-related preparation where required.

Tool Handling & Material Use

• Proficient in using hand and power tools (grinders, trowels, cutters, mixers).
• Responsible for proper material handling, site cleanup, and waste disposal.
• Knowledgeable in selecting materials suitable for UAE climate and luxury properties.

Drawings & Measurements

• Ability to interpret basic layout plans and take accurate measurements for patching or installations.
• Ensuring that work is carried out according to approved design specifications.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Adheres to HSE protocols, uses personal protective equipment (PPE), and follows safe working practices.
• Maintains clean and safe job sites, particularly in guest areas or occupied villas.

Soft Skills & Estate Etiquette

• Maintains a professional, respectful attitude within high-profile estate environments.
• Works discreetly and efficiently in VVIP/private family residences.
• Responds promptly to maintenance requests and follows job priorities.
