Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking cleaner to join our team at First Path Montessori Nursery. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas of the nursery, including classrooms, play areas, bathrooms, and common spaces, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and play areas following a set schedule.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize all surfaces, including furniture and Montessori materials.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and tissues in bathrooms.
• Deep clean specific areas as per weekly/monthly schedules, including carpets and windows.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored safely.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations, especially in areas used by children.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the nursery management.
• Follow the nursery’s cleaning protocols to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role, preferably in a school or childcare setting.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the day.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Friendly and professional demeanor, understanding the importance of working in a child-centered environment.
