Client Finance, Accounting and FP&A Advisor (CFO Track)

This is a hands-on advisory role where you help clients run their companies by the numbers, and you learn how to think and operate like a CFO every day.

What You Will Do

• Work directly alongside the CFO to build financial systems and strategy for multiple clients.
• Help clients create strong accounting processes, support month end close, and ensure financial data is accurate and reliable.
• Build annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Review financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Create dashboards and management reporting that give clients clarity and visibility into their numbers.
• Provide meaningful insights and recommendations so clients understand what the numbers really mean for decisions and strategy.
• Support ad hoc planning needs, such as scenario modeling, cash flow management, and helping set up or refine accounting processes.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a traditional controller, accountant, or analyst role. This is a strategic advisory position for someone who wants to grow into a CFO role by helping business owners understand their numbers and make better decisions.

Who Thrives in This Role

• Accounting degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, FP&A, audit, corporate finance, or similar.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Comfortable working directly with business owners and explaining financial concepts in simple, clear language.
• Enjoys problem solving, building structure, and helping companies grow.
• Ambitious and excited about a career path that leads toward a CFO role.
