Clinical Information Systems Analyst (Ancillary) - Senior

Job Description


Under little or no supervision, this position is responsible for one or more ancillary applications that may integrate with Epic applications. This position is for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, which means being able to change direction quickly, multitask, and demonstrate a passion and eagerness to learn new technologies. The ancillary analyst will collaborate with and provide expert-level support to their team and/or counterparts from other applications to successfully meet the development and implementation objectives for assigned applications. Effectively manages competing and changing priorities. Serves as project lead for key initiatives, including performing project management duties, as assigned. Develops, documents, and adheres to the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with related applications and systems. Interacts professionally with leadership, faculty, staff, and vendors


Responsibilities


Manages projects and serves as primary customer contact. Defines and maintains project plan and schedules. Monitors compliance with definitions of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Provides regular project status reports to customer and internal management.

Serves as a liaison between the end users and/or vendors to ensure appropriate system build, configuration, and functionality.

Communicates changes and provides quality assurance checks to ensure standard practices are followed.

Develops, documents, and adheres to the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with related applications and systems.

Utilizes and understands the application to support operations, while providing expert level support, troubleshooting and project management support.

Mentors and teaches less experienced staff.

Performs application software build, configuration, and maintenance.

Assists with application software troubleshooting and information gathering.

Provides end user support for software users.

Escalates software application issues as appropriate.

Designs workflow diagrams to support both technical and end user processes.

Documents, updates, and adheres to internal procedures and processes for maintaining data and system integrity.

Manages complex projects and initiatives to support clinical, revenue cycle, and administrative operations.

Performs functional and integrated application testing.

Trains staff on software use, including Epic integration workflows.

Offers and implements workflow or technical related enhancement ideas.

Functions effectively as a team player while meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.

Performs functional application testing according to instructions and test plan.

Creates test plans and performs functional and integrated application testing.

Tests and supports software, workflows, and any relevant system interfaces.


Qualifications


In-depth understanding of complex application workflows and their integration options with clinical software and operations

Proven ability to work independently and successfully execute multiple assignments simultaneously in a complex environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting competencies.

Excellent organizational management skills.

Required Skills
Four (4)years of applicable experience required.
