Clinical Research Coordinator

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II. This is a multidisciplinary team of Cardiologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician-scientists who study cardiovascular health risks after complicated pregnancies, specifically hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. We are conducting studies developing interventions to improve short and long term maternal morbidity after a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy that include cardiac imaging studies and small clinical trials.

Main Duties

• Assisting with conducting clinical research studies including clinical trials
• Recruiting and consenting study participants
• Running and collecting data at study visits
• Managing IRB applications and databases
• Working with a dynamic team that partners with women of diverse backgrounds to understand their health and risk for disease.
• Work will be hybrid with 4 days on site and 1 day remote

Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.

Must be able to work in a team-based environment with Pitt and UPMC team members. Must be able to work independently. Must have excellent communication skills.

Must be able to walk between sites around Pitt, Magee Women's Research Institute and UPMC.
