Schedule: Full Time

40 hours per week

Maintains Arizona Arizona License: LCSW, LPC, LIAC, LMFT

Registered as a Clinical Supervisor

Dual Licensed with LIAC Preferred

Master’s degree, i.e., MA, MC, MSW, in a Behavioral Health Field

Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor will work to assist and ensure quality clinical supervision and oversight is provided to Terros clinical teams, including staff at the associate license level, non-licensed BHTs and BHPPs. This role is essential in providing direct clinical supervision of clinical staff, participate in program development and evaluation procedures, participate in assigned quality management activities, provide clinical support to assigned health and recovery centers. This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Development and Senior Director of Clinical Operations. This position is co-located at Terros Health Centers and Recovery Centers as assigned. This position requires travel to multiple locations.

Clinical Supervisor Duties May Include:

  • Provides documented clinical supervision to those counseling staff as assigned, including associate level licensed, unlicensed behavioral health technician, and behavioral health paraprofessional level staff on a basis consistent with AzDHS, AzBBHE requirements, and Terros Health Policies and Procedures. Documentation will be maintained in the Terros Health approved Clinical Documentation Application.
  • Maintains contemporaneous documentation of clinical supervision and oversight of staff in the Clinical Supervision and Oversight Application.
  • Completes clinical supervisor and refreshers as required by AzBBHE and remain in good standing with the BBHE and completes professional development training when available and/or necessary.
  • Provides supervision of client care, including facilitating clinical oversight, assisting in urgent and emergent client care issues, and providing day-to-day support and consultation on clinical care and clinical service delivery.
  • On a quarterly basis, or as needed, provides direct observation of each staff member’s group and/or individual session, and at least one intake to evaluate staff assessment and diagnostic skills. Discuss findings with staff person using a clinical supervision model, with the goal of improving clinical skills, including engagement and motivational techniques.
  • Maintains an excellent working knowledge of agency cultural competency standards and initiatives; operationalizes the Terros Health requirements for licensing and contractual obligations; provides record review for culturally competent and ethical treatment practices; and provides oversight and direction for culturally and linguistically appropriate client care during supervision with site clinical staff.

  • Education – master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field
  • Years experience – 3 to 5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience working with families, children, and adolescents preferred
  • Training preferred/required – Licensed at the independent level under the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, preferred dual licensed as LIAC
    • Must be certified as a Clinical Supervisor through the AZBBHE and maintain supervisory credentials
  • Skills preferred/required – Thorough understanding of clinical documentation requirements and procedures
    • Ability to utilize Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Experience with electronic health records, NextGen preferred
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB Test.
  • Must pass a criminal background check
