Club Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee membership administration, ensuring timely collection of dues and strict compliance with club bylaws.
  • Enhance the overall member experience by developing and executing a diverse calendar of social events and programs.
  • Supervise core club departments (e.g., Athletics, Food & Beverage, or Facilities) and coordinate with specialized academies/vendors to meet KPIs.
  • Oversee spa, fitness, and leisure departments, ensuring performance targets and service standards are achieved.
  • Manage third-party operators and contractors to ensure they meet the club’s established performance and quality standards.
  • Ensure the implementation of organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments.
  • Assist in budget development and tracking; actively control expenses relative to revenue to ensure fiscal health.
  • Foster a customer service-oriented atmosphere and ensure high-touch service levels are maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate daily with department heads, prepare work schedules, and assign responsibilities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support the General Manager in monitoring departmental success and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities for all club associates.
  • Monitor business forecasts to plan effectively for manpower needs and operational expenses.
  • Promote the club within the local community and develop outreach programs to enhance the club's brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in club operations, high-end hospitality, or luxury service environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in membership sales, retention, and high-level customer service.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead diverse departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on member relations.
  • Proficient in budget management, financial analysis, and P&L oversight.
  • Knowledgeable in KPI development, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to design and execute engaging social events and recreational programming.
