CNC Machine Operator – Job Description

Position Summary:
A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines used to produce precision parts and components. This role ensures machines run efficiently, parts meet quality standards, and production goals are achieved safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, routers, or grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Load raw materials and verify proper tooling and machine settings.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Perform quality inspection using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or deviations.
• Troubleshoot machine errors and collaborate on corrective actions.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic machine repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Work with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to optimize production processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machines or related manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code) is a plus.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Use of hands for handling materials and operating equipment.
• Comfort working with machinery, noise, and manufacturing conditions.

Preferred Experience (Optional):

• Prior experience with specific CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Fanuc).
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
