CNC Machinist

Job Purpose

To ensure the machine is set properly, make CNC program for machining and then operate the machine for normal production, ensuring all the operations comply with Health and Safety Policy.

Principal Accountabilities

To carry out operations as per machine router and other instructions.

Select tools and consumables for job.

Work as per given feed, speed parameter if required considering required circumstances.

To monitor the machines to ensure proper function throughout the production process.

Inspect and record first piece of the operation.

Measure products or parts to ensure that they meet as per drawings.

Report & update if any non conformity product if noticed.

After production is completed, then clean the machine, arranging machine accessories and the tooling properly.

To update & sign off production Job router and process documents for the job carried out upon completing each activity.

Maintain product identification & trace ability, mark the job number on processed job Encourage safety measures in the workshop.

Observe safe working practices and daily house keeping.

Additional Responsibilities

Follow the instruction as per the route sheet and job card provided prior to start machining

Review and make sure the machine drawing is met as per the standard and requirements per job card

Pre Requisites

Mechanical aptitude.

Minimum two years experience in the Oil and Gas industry

knowledge about CNC programming
