Role Overview

This is a senior-level CNC machinist role where you:

• Set up and run advanced machines
• Improve how parts are made
• Work closely with engineers on new products

It’s not just operating machines—you own the process and quality.

What You Actually Do

• Set up and run CNC machines (3–5 axis, Swiss lathes, mill/turn)
• Make high-precision parts with very tight tolerances
• Read engineering drawings (GD&T)
• Inspect parts using precision tools (micrometers, gauges, CMM)
• Fix machining issues (surface finish, tool wear, vibration)
• Help engineers improve designs for easier manufacturing (DFM)

Key Skills Needed

• Strong CNC machining experience
• Blueprint reading + GD&T
• Machine setup (not just operation)
• Troubleshooting machining problems
• Precision measurement skills

Example Work

Project: Manufacturing precision components for microwave/electronic equipment

• Set up a 5-axis CNC machine
• Optimize cutting parameters to reduce defects
• Inspect parts to micron-level accuracy
• Improve cycle time without losing quality

Tools & Machines

• CNC machines (3–5 axis mills, Swiss lathes)
• CAM/CAD software
• Measurement tools: micrometers, CMM, gauges

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
