CNC Operator

Operate and monitor CNC router machines to perform cutting, drilling, engraving, and shaping tasks.

Set up machines by installing tools, fixtures, and materials.

Input or load CNC programs and adjust machine settings as needed.

Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.

Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.

Troubleshoot basic machine or program issues.

Maintain production records and report any defects or problems.

Follow workplace safety procedures and quality standards.

Work with production teams to meet deadlines and efficiency goals.

Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code).

Strong attention to detail and precision.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Basic math and measurement skills.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical training or certification in CNC machining or manufacturing technology preferred.

1–3 years experience operating CNC routers or CNC machines (preferred but sometimes entry-level training available).

Manufacturing or workshop environment.

May involve standing for long periods.

Exposure to machine noise, dust, and moving equipment.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and ear protection.
