Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor CNC router machines to perform cutting, drilling, engraving, and shaping tasks.
  • Set up machines by installing tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Input or load CNC programs and adjust machine settings as needed.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine or program issues.
  • Maintain production records and report any defects or problems.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Work with production teams to meet deadlines and efficiency goals.
Required Skills
  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code).
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training or certification in CNC machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
  • 1–3 years experience operating CNC routers or CNC machines (preferred but sometimes entry-level training available).

Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing or workshop environment.
  • May involve standing for long periods.
  • Exposure to machine noise, dust, and moving equipment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and ear protection.
