Collections Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end collections process for debt accounts, including follow-up on overdue payments and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with accounts payable teams to ensure accurate processing of payments and account reconciliation.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers while adhering to company policies and compliance standards.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and implement strategies to recover outstanding balances effectively.
  • Use financial software and accounting systems to track collection activities, generate reports, and analyze account status for ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, insurance companies, and internal departments to ensure clear, professional interactions.

Skills

  • Proven experience in collections management.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, financial software tools, and account reconciliation techniques.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to resolve disputes amicably.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable procedures, debits & credits, and financial concepts relevant to healthcare finance.
  • Effective communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and professional correspondence.
