Collections Officer

AS-Picas is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Collections Officer to join our finance team in Doha. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding receivables, maintaining positive client relationships, and ensuring timely recovery of payments. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills with a firm, professional approach to credit control and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and follow up on outstanding customer balances to ensure timely collections
• Contact clients via phone, email, and formal correspondence to recover overdue payments
• Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and escalate high-risk accounts when necessary
• Collaborate with internal departments to address invoice discrepancies
• Prepare regular reports on collection status and performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit control
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and tact
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments
• Knowledge of local business practices and financial procedures in Qatar
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage difficult conversations effectively
