General Accountant

Record and maintain all financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.

Handle daily sales entries from POS systems (cash, card, Talabat, Deliveroo, etc.).

Reconcile daily sales with cash collections and bank deposits.

Maintain proper documentation for all accounting entries.

Track restaurant revenue streams and ensure proper classification.

Monitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) including food and beverage costs.

Assist in analyzing cost percentages and identifying variances.

Support menu costing and pricing updates.

Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.

Monitor accounts receivable (if applicable), including corporate clients or events.

Follow up on outstanding balances.

Record inventory transactions (purchases, transfers, wastage).

Assist in monthly stock counts and reconciliation.

Coordinate with storekeepers and operations team to ensure accurate stock records.

Monitor variances between physical and system stock.

Perform regular bank reconciliations.

Monitor petty cash and ensure proper control and documentation.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash handling.

Assist in preparing payroll data (attendance, overtime, deductions).

Ensure accurate recording of staff-related expenses.

Coordinate with HR for payroll processing.

Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.

Support closing activities (month-end and year-end).

Provide reports on sales, expenses, and cost analysis.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Maintain organized financial records for audit purposes.

Coordinate with restaurant managers regarding sales, expenses, and stock.

Support internal and external audits.

Assist the Chief Accountant in financial analysis and special projects.
