Commercial Analyst

Job Title: Commercial Analyst.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Reporting to: C-Suite.

About the Role:

Our client is a leading international e-commerce platform, headquartered in the UAE. They are on a growth trajectory to launch in multiple new markets and are seeking to hire a Commercial Analyst to join their Headquarters in Dubai.

This role is central to driving commercial performance within the E-Commerce space , with responsibility for analysing the P&L across products, marketing, operations, and sales.

You will identify opportunities to optimise revenue, pricing, and margin, while working closely

with cross-functional teams to analyse commercial practices to ensure the business remains

competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and report on the P&L for product sales, marketing costs, and processing costs to highlight opportunities for positive revenue and customer growth.
• Collaborate with product and marketing on pricing strategies to ensure products are positioned competitively while maximising margin.
• Provide insight into marketing efficiency, campaign ROI, and customer acquisition costs.
• Build financial and commercial reports to forecast sales, revenues, and profitability.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics to inform decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Skills & Experience:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a commercial analyst or similar role, ideally in eCommerce.
• Strong P&L, pricing, and margin analysis expertise.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with SQL, BI tools (such as Power BI and Tableau) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of forecasting, modelling, and large data analysis.
• Strong commercial judgement with an economist’s mindset and a focus on profitability.
• Experience collaborating across marketing, product, and finance functions.
• A passion for gaming and digital products is preferred.
