Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning & Venue Reset Assistant to help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of our venue.

This role is responsible for cleaning the venue, assisting with laundry and decor organization, and resetting the space after events. The position often involves working independently, so reliability, organization, and attention to detail are extremely important.

Some shifts may involve light routine cleaning, while others may involve heavier cleaning and venue resets following large events.

Schedule & Availability

Because we host evening events, cleaning shifts typically occur:

  • Late nights after events
  • Early mornings before the next event

Most cleaning work is best completed between 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM.

Schedule averages 10–20 hours per week depending on event activity.

ResponsibilitiesGeneral Cleaning

  • Vacuum, mop, and clean all rooms and areas of the venue
  • Clean table tops, bars, and surfaces
  • Maintain bathrooms and common areas
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and readiness of the venue

Exterior Maintenance

  • Sweep and maintain the front entrance area
  • Clean outdoor areas as needed
  • Water plants in the front of the venue

Laundry Responsibilities

  • Wash venue linens and laundry items
  • Laundry may be done on-site when working on other tasks
  • If the shift is dedicated only to laundry, it may be completed at a laundromat
  • After washing, linens must be placed in the correct storage bin based on linen size and type

Post-Event Reset & Inventory

  • Complete the Post Event Inventory Log after events
  • Ensure all decor items are returned to their correct storage location
  • A post-event checklist will be provided

Kitchen & Equipment Cleaning

If charger plates or chafing dishes are left in the kitchen after an event:

  • Wash all items
  • Dry thoroughly
  • Return them to the storage room next to the kitchen where charger plates, chafing dishes, and trash cans are stored

Decor Organization & Event Preparation

  • Assist with organizing decor inventory
  • Prepare decor for upcoming events using provided preparation lists
  • Iron sashes for upcoming events when needed

Periodic Tasks

  • Assist with annual decor inventory
  • Assist with quarterly curtain washing

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks such as cleaning, lifting decor items, and moving furniture
  • Able to follow checklists and maintain organized systems

Cleaning or hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

Compensation

  • $20 per hour
  • Approximately 10–20 hours per week
  • All cleaning supplies and materials are provided by the venue.
