We are recruiting for a Commercial & Contracts Manager role with a leading main contractor based in the UAE. Candidates must have prior experience working with main contractors in the Middle East. The role will focus on a twin tower residential project located in Creek Harbour.

Responsibilities
  • Provide responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare requests for proposals for distribution to vendors.
  • Develop a set of standard contracts for the company.
  • Analyze all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Conduct research prior to writing contracts.
  • Audit existing contracts and oversee contract modifications.
  • Analyze a contract's risk to the business.
  • Visit client sites and meet with business partners.
  • Monitor the performance of each signed contract.
  • Ensure that business goals are accomplished by contract implementation.
  • Train and supervise other contract professionals.
  • Communicate contract implementations to subordinates.
  • Maintain a computer database for the company's contract management system.
  • Conduct analysis of new laws, regulations and contract trends to determine potential impact on the business.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure correct billing and collection of contractual revenues.
  • Ensure that contracts are in line with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Identify potential improvements to existing policies.
  • Prepare reports on the status of contracts for management.
  • Conduct special projects as assigned.
  • Negotiate and oversee leasing agreements.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, law, or equivalent. Master's degree an advantage.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong command of English and proven ability to draft and review contractual documents accurately. Ideally, the candidate will be from the UK with UAE experience in high-rise building.
  • Experience in contract preparation and management.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Has knowledge of international contract law and mergers and acquisitions regulations.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Possesses excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgment skills.
  • Displays exceptional management skills.
  • Has working knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications.
  • Possesses strong leadership skills.
  • Has excellent technological knowledge and abilities.
  • Exhibits exceptional mathematical abilities.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of state and local laws, regulations and codes.
