Commercial Director

General Qualifications

As one of the leading Multi-purpose port operators in the region, Adana Port is seeking a Port Commercial Director to strengthen our commercial operations and expand our customer portfolio especially in Container Business. We are looking for a candidate with proven expertise in strategic commercial management, strong customer relationship skills, and the ability to effectively manage commercial activities within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & implement the ports commercial and pricing strategies across all segments (General cargo, container,Bulk, Project cargo and warehouses , etc.) and create business plans to increase revenue
• Identify market opportunities, customer needs and growth sectors in the ports’ hinterland and wider South east region.

Strong BCO management skills,

Pricing strategies,

Contract negotiations.

Build and maitain strong relationships with shipping lines, industrial clients and BCO’s,

Promote underutilized services ( stuffing/ stripping, warehoused, bondedareas)

Focus on value added services.

Key account managemeny,

Serve as the primary contact for the Key Accounts,

• Establish and maintain strong, sustainable commercial relationships with local and international customers
• Effectively manage marketing, sales, and customer management processes
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to enhance the port’s competitiveness
• Attend industry fair, and represent the port and strengthen brand visibility.
• Oversee the preparation and management of commercial contracts

Monitor trends in regional and global shipping trade an logistic market and report to managements

• Work in close coordination with operations, logistics, and finance teams to maximize customer satisfaction
• Prepare and present commercial performance reports to senior management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Maritime, or relevant engineering fields
• Minimum 10 years of experience in port operations, logistics, or maritime industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial position preferred
• Strong background in commercial management, sales, and customer relationship management
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
• Advanced proficiency in English
• Proficient in MS Office applications and CRM systems, SAP knowledge is a plus
