Commercial Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing various engineering projects, ensuring technical accuracy, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within civil, mechanical, and water treatment engineering disciplines, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies. The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Schematics for drafting, design, and modeling of civil and mechanical systems.
• Conduct construction management activities including site inspections, construction inspection, and overseeing project execution phases.
• Prepare detailed construction estimating and system design documents using GIS, ArcGIS, HECRAS, SWMM, and other relevant tools.
• Perform land surveying, geotechnical analysis, hydraulics calculations, and water/wastewater treatment system design.
• Create technical drawings and schematics for pipelines, water systems, and other infrastructure components.
• Write comprehensive technical reports and documentation to support project proposals and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with project management teams to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Assist in the development of construction plans for civil engineering projects involving water treatment facilities or pipeline systems.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proven experience in construction management, project engineering, or related roles within civil or water/wastewater sectors.
• Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation; familiarity with Revit is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GIS applications such as ArcGIS and GIS-based project planning tools.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software like HEC-RAS or SWMM; knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles is advantageous.
• Skilled in technical writing for reports and schematics creation; experience with project scheduling tools is desirable.
• Familiarity with construction inspection processes and construction estimating techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to deadlines. This position offers an engaging environment for engineers passionate about infrastructure development and innovative system design across various engineering disciplines.
