Job Profile
Commercial Manager will oversee all business operations while coordinating with management and teams across locations. This role encompasses strategic planning, business development, financial management, operations, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both local and international markets in the food and non-food industries, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive growth while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and country regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Commercial Management
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Analyze financial reports, sales data, and market conditions to make informed business decisions.
2. Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales goals while coaching and mentoring sales representatives to achieve individual and team KPIs.
- Build strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Identify opportunities for growth in new product categories within local and international markets.
3. Contract & Negotiation Management:
- Negotiate, draft, and manage agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Track and reconcile supplier rebate agreements and identify/mitigate risks related to contracts and business activities.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
4. Revenue & Cost Optimization:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies to ensure financial sustainability.
- Monitor operational costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Drive profitability analysis and recommend strategic pricing models.
5. Team Supervision & Development:
- Manage, train, and motivate a diverse team of sales and operations staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Address and resolve team or client issues promptly and effectively.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Liaise with teams across procurement, marketing, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth business operations.
- Monitor and coordinate shipments, verify invoices, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with regulations and documentation requirements.
- Represent the company at events, trade shows, and industry forums, while reporting key developments and market intelligence to management.
7. Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and analyze operational and sales metrics to inform decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operations, commercials, sales performance, and team progress to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 8–15 years in commercial management, sales, or business development, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of local and international markets, contract management, and business operations in the food and non-food industries.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization.
- Proficiency in business management tools, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
