Commercial Manager (with Contracting Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with proven main contracting experience to lead all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role requires strong expertise in subcontract management, cost control, claims, and contract administration to ensure profitable and compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual matters from project award through final account
• Oversee contract administration in line with contract conditions (FIDIC or equivalent)
• Lead subcontract procurement, negotiations, administration, and finalization
• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and change management
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies
• Prepare and review commercial reports for senior management
• Coordinate with project, planning, cost control, and finance teams
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution with clients and subcontractors

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management with strong contracting background
• Proven experience working with main contractors on large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of contract forms (FIDIC or equivalent)
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and commercial acumen
