Job Title: Commi 1 – Bakery
Department: Production / Bakery
Reports To: Head Baker / Pastry Chef
Location: Dubai

Job Purpose

To assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of bakery products by following standard recipes, hygiene practices, and production schedules to ensure high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings as per standard recipes.
  • Bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items according to specifications.
  • Maintain proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of workstations, utensils, and bakery equipment.
  • Follow daily production plans and support senior bakers in executing orders on time.
  • Assist in decorating and finishing baked goods as required.
  • Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines at all times.
  • Report any damaged equipment, low stock items, or operational issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Support in receiving and checking bakery ingredients and supplies.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
