Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake pastries, breads, cakes, and other bakery items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of desserts, chocolates, and specialty bakery items.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and pastry workstations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist in inventory control, including checking ingredients and notifying the chef of shortages.
- Support senior pastry chefs in creating new menu items and seasonal specialties.
- Adhere to portion control, quality, and presentation standards for all products.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically demanding work including standing for long periods and handling hot equipment.
