Hanar Restaurant, a premier destination for Anatolian cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis II to join our culinary team. As a vital part of our kitchen team, you will assist in various kitchen operations while gaining valuable skills and insights into Japanese cuisine. Responsibilities:

  • Basic Food Preparation: Assist in the cleaning and preparation of ingredients under the guidance of senior chefs, including washing vegetables and measuring ingredients.
  • Cooking Assistance: Help with cooking tasks as instructed by senior staff, focusing on learning and applying basic cooking techniques.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation. Follow hygiene standards to ensure food safety.
  • Learning Opportunities: Take the initiative to learn from experienced chefs, attending training sessions and asking questions to enhance your skills.
  • Stock Management: Help in the organization of kitchen supplies and assist in inventory management to ensure freshness and availability.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment, contributing to team efforts during service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience or relevant culinary training, and willingness to learn is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety principles.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to adapt and take direction from senior staff.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
