Daikan Izakaya, Yas Bay, a premier destination for Japanese cuisine, is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Commis III to join our culinary team. You will support the kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation, contributing to our commitment to delivering outstanding dishes to our guests.Responsibilities:
- Ingredient Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients by peeling, chopping, and slicing under the direction of senior chefs. Ensure all ingredients are ready for efficient cooking during service.
- Culinary Assistance: Support the kitchen team during service by helping with cooking and plating dishes, following established standards and recipes.
- Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation practices throughout the kitchen.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and learn about various cooking techniques and methods. Seek feedback from senior staff to improve culinary skills.
- Inventory Support: Assist with the organization and inventory of kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are stored properly and tracked for freshness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times. Communicate effectively to keep workflow efficient.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary training is preferred but not mandatory.
- A strong desire to learn and develop skills in Japanese cuisine.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
