Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Arabic dishes (e.g., mezze, grills, rice dishes, sauces, and breads)
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards as set by senior chefs
- Prepare mise en place and ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations according to food safety standards
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies
- Support senior chefs during service and handle basic cooking tasks independently when required
- Comply with HACCP, health, and safety regulations at all times
- Minimize waste and handle food products responsibly
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant
- Hands-on experience with Arabic cuisine is required
- Basic culinary training or certificate is an advantage
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
