Commissioning Manager

Job Title:

• Project Commissioning Manager.
• A Project Commissioning Manager leads the testing, verification, and energization of WTGs and high-voltage substation equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant project handover from construction to operations.
• He will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with contractors and offtaker, and oversee protection and control (P&C) testing, requiring strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and often a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Commissioning Planning & Execution: Lead the EPC Contractor to develop and implement detailed commissioning procedures, plans, and schedules for WTGs and HV substations and renewable energy projects.
• Technical Testing & Validation: Oversee testing of WTGs, transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, SCADA, MV Cable Network, E-BOP, and P&C schemes to meet design specifications and contractual ITPs.
• Safety & Quality Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety policies (EHS) and ensure high-quality, reliable, and safe operation at turnover.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, manage, train, and supervise field teams, subcontractors, and OEM personnel.
• Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Liaise with clients, contractors, and utilities (T&C, PPA compliance) to manage deliverables, document, and report.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during testing, commissioning, and startup.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience: 5:7 years in WTGs and HV substation testing, commissioning, and project management.
• Certifications: NETA or NICET Power Testing certifications are advantageous.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in protection and control schemes, relays, and substation apparatus.
• Safety Focus: Strict adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Efficiency: Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
