Overview
Manages multiple projects aimed at developing and implementing comprehensive, well integrated, communication plans focused on informing and creating awareness for Dartmouth Health’s programs and services.
Responsibilities-
Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive and integrated internal communications plans, and recommends development and maintenance of channels to deliver organizational messaging.

Responsible for content development and editing in various forms, including story generation and dissemination to internal audiences. Manages and collaborates on DH CEO messaging, system stories, announcements, and distribution.

Serves as a communications contact for managers, physicians, researchers, department heads and other members of the management team, identifying needs and making recommendations for new programs and communication rollout. Provides advice on varied aspects of strategy, and communications planning.

Maintains all new and departing provider communications, including provider orientation, database maintenance, and clinical alerts. Develops content for the Intranet, Ask Joanne, Town Hall scripting and production, public health threats, and facilities messaging.

Assists in the development of internal communications, serving as a writer and editor of key leadership communications to internal audiences throughout the DH
- Works with other internal departments to maximize the effective reach of all electronic messaging, print publications, streaming video, events, and other internal communications targeted to
- Serves as an internal communications consultant/advisor to departments, sections, programs, and/or strategic initiatives where a comprehensive approach to internal communications is critical to
- Provides patient communications support where needed and in collaboration with other teams.

Works with vendors in the design, production, and distribution of communications

Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or writing/journalism required.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and oral and written/editing communication skills essential along with attention to detail and a working knowledge of MS office products.

Working knowledge of web Content Management Systems and social media experience preferred.
