Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division is looking for a Communication Specialist for our Mississippi facilities (Corinth & Booneville). This position will play a key role in creating and delivering effective employee communications that align with division strategy. As a trusted strategic partner, you’ll collaborate with facility leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication plans and content that build employee engagement, support change management and drive operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, design and distribute communications materials, such as newsletters, presentation materials, graphics, videos, social media posts, etc. to deliver key messages.
  • Create compelling content for employee communication channels; ensuring that messaging and branding are consistent across all channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advise on the suitability of approaches for communication efforts.
  • Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications and create strategic plans accordingly.
  • Embrace technology and creative approaches to reach and engage employees in meaningful ways.
  • Partner with HR to shape strategies that grow leadership, foster inclusion, and deepen business understanding.

What You Have:

Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Under guidance, reports measurement results in actionable form to management.
  • Interprets and analyze results vs. established benchmarks.

  • Uses assigned measurements for own function or specialization.
  • Under guidance, develop action plans to achieve those goals.

Copywriting and Editing: Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.

  • Develops a variety of typographies and publications.
  • Proposes key considerations in writing business documents and publications.
  • Writes and edits materials for a variety of target populations.
  • Consults others on developing and editing large documents and documentation projects.
  • Participates in discussions about style and tone differences of press releases, marketing brochures and newsletters.
  • Trains others on editing for image, business inset, substance and the specific audience.

Internal Communications: Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Participates in internal communication events or campaigns.
  • Resolves common internal communications problems and obstacles.
  • Documents the organization's ethical practices, such as categorizing language as acceptable versus unacceptable.
  • Assists in the development of internal communication materials.
  • Assesses alternative delivery mechanisms for internal communications.

Multimedia Technologies: Knowledge of multimedia publishing technologies and procedures; ability to use installed audio, visual and animation software tools to produce multimedia publications.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves common software and platform problems.
  • Works with a specific multimedia tool.
  • Deals with the major phases of the production cycle for multimedia products.
  • Participates in developing and integrating a design's mixed media components.
  • Compiles a list of associated equipment, peripherals, and supply requirements.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
