Job Title: Communications Specialist – Internal Engagement & Executive Messaging

Location: 100% Remote

Rate: $28-$30/ hour

Duration: Through 6/30/26

The Communications Specialist will play a key role in s within a global supply chain organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain, this role is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that foster alignment, recognition, and engagement across distributed teams. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with a strong background in corporate communications, particularly within business or supply chain environments.

Typical Day in the Role

  • Develop and execute weekly communication plans.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to draft and finalize newsletters.
  • Manage recognition programs and ensure timely acknowledgments.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and provide updates on communication initiatives.
  • Respond to executive-level requests and support global alignment efforts.

Performance Measurement

  • On-time delivery of monthly newsletters.
  • Weekly recognition acknowledgments.
  • Timely turnaround for ad hoc communication requests.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Internal Communications

  • Draft, edit, and publish executive-level communications including monthly and annual newsletters.
  • Develop weekly communication plans and manage internal content calendars.
  • Support global communication strategies to ensure consistency across time zones and geographies.

Employee Engagement & Branding

  • Drive initiatives that promote employee recognition, branding, and engagement.
  • Create compelling content that aligns with corporate messaging and enhances employee experience.
  • Track and report on recognition programs and engagement metrics.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan for the remainder of the year.
  • Provide regular updates and performance reports to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Respond to ad hoc communication requests with timely and high-quality deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in corporate communications or internal engagement roles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • No history of job hopping; candidates must show stability in previous roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business or supply chain communications.
  • Proven ability to develop creative and influential marketing plans for employee engagement.
  • Familiarity with media production and dissemination techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Passion for trying new communication methods and leaving a lasting impact.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
