Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Compliance Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of our factory's compliance program. You will be the key point of contact for all social, ethical, and environmental audits, ensuring we not only meet but exceed the standards set by our international buyers. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our certifications, managing documentation, and upholding our reputation as a responsible manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead All Compliance Audits:
- Act as the primary liaison and host for all pre-shipment, post-shipment, announced, and unannounced audits (e.g., SMETA, BSCI, Sedex, WRAP, OEKO-TEX, RCS, GRS, ISO 9000 & 14000,GOTS, brand-specific audits).
- Conduct thorough internal audits and pre-audit checks to ensure zero non-conformities.
- Develop and implement robust Corrective Action Plans (CAPAs) to address any audit findings promptly and effectively.
- Compliance Data & Documentation Management:
- Develop, maintain, and manage all compliance-related documentation, including policies, procedures, records, and reports.
- Ensure all employee records (attendance, wages, overtime, leave, etc.) are accurate, transparent, and audit-ready at all times.
- Maintain a centralized database for all compliance data and generate regular reports for management.
- Buyer Requirements & Relationship Management:
- Thoroughly understand, interpret, and implement the specific code of conduct and compliance requirements of all our buyers.
- Proactively communicate with buyers' compliance teams to address queries and provide necessary documentation.
- Stay updated on changing buyer requirements and industry best practices.
- Certification Management:
- Manage the entire process for obtaining and renewing all necessary certifications (e.g., GOTS, OCS, GRS, Oeko-Tex, ISO 9000, 14001, ISO 45001).
- Ensure ongoing adherence to all certification standards.
- Training & Development:
- Develop and conduct regular training programs for factory management and workers on compliance standards, health & safety, ethical practices, and environmental policies.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the factory's full compliance with all local labor laws, environmental regulations, fire and building safety codes, and other statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a compliance role within the garment export industry.
- Proven, hands-on experience in successfully leading and managing all types of social compliance audits (SMETA, BSCI, RBA, etc.) from start to finish.
- In-depth knowledge of international labor standards, environmental codes, and factory safety regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, buyers, management, and workers.
