Compliance/Tax Officer

Key Responsibilities

§ Ensure compliance with Qatar tax laws, regulations issued by the General Tax Authority, and internal policies.

§ Assist in the preparation, review, and timely submission of tax returns, withholding tax filings, and statutory declarations.

§ Monitor tax obligations and ensure accurate calculation and timely settlement.

§ Support tax audits, regulatory reviews, and correspondence with authorities and external auditors.

§ Maintain complete and accurate tax records, compliance documentation, and audit trails.

§ Coordinate with internal departments to regulatory compliance.

§ Monitor changes in tax and regulatory requirements and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.

§ Support the periodic review and update of tax and compliance procedures.

§ Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree - Finance/Taxation/Business Administration.
  • Professional certifications in Taxation, Compliance, Accounting, or Finance (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience of relevant experience.

Core Competencies & Skills

a. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.

b. Advanced skills in Excel and experience in Oracle EBS is a plus

c. Language Proficiency – English - Spoken and Written (Proficiency in Arabic / Bilingual is a plus)

d. Prior Experience in a governmental / semi government entity is a plus.
