GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Buyer is responsible for executing the company's purchasing process to obtain the best services, products, and suppliers based on company needs. Receives and processes the purchase requisitions received in the unit. Responsible for overseeing the assigned budget and price negotiations and services, among others, with suppliers. Plans and coordinates the receipt and delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies for the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for executing the company's purchasing process to obtain the best services, products, and suppliers based on company needs.
  • Receives purchase requisitions for materials, equipments and services from company departments and is responsible for processing such requisitions.
  • Negotiates with the suppliers the price, service, delivery, quantity, and quality of the materials and equipment requested, ensuring their quality, durability, and cost efficiency to comply with the assigned budget.
  • Implements and manages the online purchasing system through the corresponding suppliers to acquire office supplies and other products.
  • Performs a cost-efficiency analysis on orders placed for the company to achieve cost savings without sacrificing the quality of materials and equipment.
  • Keeps track of and maintains the record of purchase orders placed in the unit, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Coordinates, prepares, and carries out the auction process following the established policy to obtain the best alternatives for the company.
  • Receives and maintains detailed information on invoices and purchase orders.
  • Analyzes the market, investigates, contacts, and validates potential suppliers and recommends their services to the company.
  • Conducts negotiations with suppliers, purchases, and transactions as required.
  • Manages the budget and monitors the spending of assigned accounts.
  • Coordinates with the messaging area and warehouse the collection and distribution of materials, as necessary.
  • Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
  • May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management. At least three (3) years of experience performing tasks in a similar position.
